Create a field and add it to a form. Users will see the fields on the contact page.

What you should know

  • Select the correct field type to prevent users from making mistakes.
  • All phone fields attached to a form will automatically appear in the phone number pulldown on the contact page.
  • All email fields attached to a form will automatically appear in the ‘Select an email address’ pulldown on the contact page.
  • Use the field settings when a field is attached to a form. Make fields mandatory and set field validations.

Create a field

Click on the green plus icon Icoon toevoegen in CallMonkey to create a new field.

Select one of the 12 different field types.

Fill in the name of the field and click on Save.

The ‘Field Id’ is automatically generated and can not be changed.


Create up to 20 fields. After the first payment you can create up to 100 fields.

Text

The contents of a text field is restricted to 50 characters.

Create a memo field if users are allowed to fill in more then 50 characters or if you want to import a text field that contains more then 50 characters.

Memo

The contents of a memo can contain up to 5.000 characters. It appears across the entire width of the page.

RadioButton

Create a radio button when users have to choose from a set of options.

The ‘Show remark field’ is shown as a input field on the contact page when the setting is checked.

Pulldown

Create a pull-down field when users have to choose on option from a set of options and the options should be shown unfolded on the contact page.

Checkbox

Create a checkbox when users are allowed to select multiple options from a set of options.

A checkbox appears collapsed on the contact page.

Date

A date field will appear with the date picker icon on the contact page.

Phone

Create a phone field when you want it to appear the phone number pulldown on the contact page.

We strongly encourage E.164 number formatting for all phone numbers you want to import. E.164 numbers can have a maximum of fifteen digits and are usually written as follows: [+][country code][subscriber number including area code]. Phone numbers that are not formatted in E.164 may work, but it depends on the phone that is being used.

URL Link

A URL link field will appear with the link icon on the contact page. Users a redirected when they click on the link icon.

Email

All email fields attached to a form will automatically appear in the ‘Select an email address’ pulldown on the contact page.

Number

Create a number (integer/numerical field) when user are only allowed to fill in a full number.

Decimal

Set the precision and scale when you create a decimal field. The precision of a value that may not be bigger then $ 9.99 is 3 (total numbers in the field) and the scale is 2 (numbers behind the decimal point).

Fax

Fax fields will not appear in the phone number pulldown on the contact page.

Deactivate copy and delete

Click on the green check mark icon checkmark icon in CallMonkeydo deactivate a field. A popup will appear when the field is used on a form.


Fields will be detached directly from the forms when it is deactivated

Click on the white check mark icon white check mark icon in CallMonkey to activate the field again. After activation the field should be manually attached to the forms again.

Click on the copy icon Copy icon in CallMonkey to copy an existing field and on the delete iconDelete icon in CallMonkey if you want to delete it. Delete fields can not be restored.
